The Full form of CISCE

The Full Form of CISCE is the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations which is a private education board in India. It functions throughout the nation and is most commonly known to conduct the ICSE or Indian Certificate of Secondary Education examinations for Class 10 and the Indian School Certificate exam for Class 12. The board was established back in 1958 and has over 2,100 schools affiliated with it. The board was primarily set up to manage the exams that the University of Cambridge was conducted in India, and bend and adjust the policies of the University to meet the needs of Indian Schools. Its policies were produced under the name of the Cambridge varsity.

The board has an ongoing competition with the CBSE board (Central Board of Secondary Education), and both have been competing with the highest percentage their students score in 10th and 12th Board Exams, as well as several entrance exams like JEE Mains, NEET, etc. While many are in favor of CBSE’s holistic approach to education, there are several parents who side with the way CISCE focuses on the academic development of its students. Moreover, since CISCE has a broader syllabus, its students have been shown to fair better under the pressure they have in University since it is comparable to their school life.

In the end, the choice between the two boards is up to the kind of education one is looking for, and CISCE is here to provide the academic boost for a bright career ahead.
